More on renormalizable exceptions to Nelson-Seiberg theorem

چکیده
The Nelson-Seiberg theorem dictates conditions for the spontaneous breaking of supersymmetry in Wess–Zumino models with generic, possibly nonrenormalizable, superpotential; existence R-symmetry is necessary while sufficient. If we restrict ourselves to generic but renormalizable theories, however, there exist whose vacua break spontaneously preserving supersymmetry. classification and such exceptions are under active study. We give some new examples preserved that not covered literature.

A Vanishing Theorem for Seiberg-witten Invariants
It is shown that the quotients of Kähler surfaces under free anti-holomorphic involutions have vanishing Seiberg-Witten invariants. Various vanishing theorems have played important roles in gauge theory. The first among them, due to S. K. Donaldson [2], states that the Donaldson invariants vanish for any smooth closed oriented 4-manifold X which decomposes to a connected sum X1#X2 with b2 (X1) ...
متن کاملMore Constraints on Symplectic Forms from Seiberg-witten Invariants
Recently, Seiberg and Witten (see [SW1], [SW2], [W]) introduced a remarkable new equation which gives differential-topological invariants for a compact, oriented 4-manifold with a distinguished integral cohomology class which reduces mod(2) to the 2nd Steiffel-Whitney class of the manifold. A brief mathematical description of these new invariants is given in the recent preprint [KM1]. Using the...
متن کاملScenario-Driven Search Finds More Exceptions
Requirements elicitation tends to focus on stakeholders' primary goals, whether these are modelled as processes or use cases. However, exception cases often outnumber 'normal' cases and can drive project cost. This paper describes an experiment to see whether scenarios could effectively drive the search for exceptions. Experienced engineers asked to specifi a small system found three times as m...
متن کاملA More General Version of the Costa Theorem
In accordance with the Costa theorem, the interference which is independent of the channel input and known non-causally at the transmitter, does not affect the capacity of the Gaussian channel. In some applications, the known interference depends on the input and hence has some information. In this paper, we study the channel with input dependent interference and prove a capacity theorem that n...
متن کاملRemovable singularities and a vanishing theorem for Seiberg-Witten invariants
This result is the Seiberg-Witten analogue of Donaldson’s original theorem about the vanishing of the instanton invariants [2] for connected sums. An outline of the proof of Theorem 1.1 was given by Donaldson in [1]. The key ingredient of the proof is a removable singularity theorem for the Seiberg-Witten equations on flat Euclidean 4-space. A proof of Theorem 1.1 was also indicated by Witten i...
